2018-2019 State-Level Policy and Legislative Trends outlines major legislative and policy initiatives introduced across states in their respective annual legislative sessions. This resource focuses on four federal nutrition assistance programs and major legislative trends introduced: School Breakfast Program (SBP), Afterschool meal and snack program, Summer Food Service Program(SFSP) and Summer EBT for Children (SEBTC), and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). It also highlights states that have introduced bills to address child hunger and poverty issues by establishing task forces or hunger commissions or providing targeted grant funding.
