Start the School Year Right with Innovative Approaches to Afterschool Meals
Set up kids for success this year by offering nutritious, free meals after school. One in five children in our country struggles with hunger, and a quarter of low-income parents worry that their kids don’t have enough to eat between lunch and breakfast the next day. Despite the need, new analysis from the No Kid Hungry Center for Best Practices shows that there are less than four afterschool meals served for every one hundred subsidized lunches served during the school year. This webinar, done in partnership with our innovation partner, Tyson Foods, Inc., will cover the new data analysis as well as promising practices that will help you to implement a strong Afterschool Meals program. You’ll also hear directly from school nutrition directors with experience running the program.
