As the new year and new Congress began, we hosted a conversation on how we can help end childhood hunger in the 118th Congress.

In addition to outlining the path ahead for the new Congress, we also shared additional information on the exciting developments during the last few days of 2022 when Congress passed a funding bill that included the biggest non-emergency investment in summer hunger in almost 50 years! The $28.5 billion investment in Child Nutrition Programs included two of our most aspirational policy goals – nationwide expansion of Summer EBT and non-congregate meals during the summer months. While there were tough trade-offs in this package and we didn’t get everything we wanted, it is an overall win for kids.
