Help Us End Childhood Hunger! Consult with No Kid Hungry

Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry (NKH) campaign is looking for education & school nutrition consultants to help us end childhood hunger. In particular, we are seeking a School Business Official who has knowledge of and experience with the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).

Consultants lend their voice, knowledge and expertise to respond to technical assistance (TA) requests, review and provide feedback on No Kid Hungry resources and provide support to other nutrition and education leaders who are working across the country to increase access to school meals and ensure more equitable access to the nutrition kids needs to learn and thrive. We are looking for individuals who bring both a passion for our mission and a deep understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Current NKH consultants include former school nutrition directors, school business officials, state agency staff and educators. We are especially eager to recruit individuals with a shared lived experience in the communities in which we work.

Consultants are compensated on an hourly basis and are paid monthly. The majority of the TA and support is given via phone as part of conference calls and virtually as part of webinars, although some limited travel may occur (all travel is currently on hold due to COVID-19). On average consultants devote 10-15 hours per month though we are flexible with each consultant’s capacity and availability. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 hours available each month.
