The School Meals Applications Outreach Toolkit is designed to help school districts get the word out to families about why completing and submitting free and reduced-price meal applications is important. The contents of this toolkit can also be adapted for outreach for the completion and submission of alternative income forms.

The toolkit comes complete with:

• Guidance about connecting with families, organized in a checklist format,
• Outreach examples from other school districts, and
• Ready to use and customizable No Kid Hungry resources, available in both English and Spanish.

Districts can use this toolkit to best meet their needs – by applying the guidance to connect with families, to get inspired by examples from other districts, or by utilizing the customizable resources.
