SNAP in Schools: Levels of Engagement and Partners to Engage

These SNAP in Schools resources are designed to help schools, community organizations, agency partners, and other partners identify ways to strengthen SNAP outreach, enrollment, and coordination efforts. Recognizing that every community has different needs, capacities, partnerships, and goals, these resources provide approaches that can be adapted and scaled across different states and localities. 

The Levels of Engagement resource outlines different ways schools and partners can support SNAP access, from awareness and outreach to more integrated, systems level approaches. 

The Partners to Engage resource highlights the different partners that can help strengthen this work, including schools, community based organizations, SNAP outreach providers, health partners, agencies, and individuals with lived expertise.

Together these resources are intended to support collaborative, family-centered strategies that build trust, reduce barriers, and improve SNAP access.
