CEP ISP Projection Tool

The CEP ISP Projection Tool is intended to identify how much of a change in the Identified Student Percentage (ISP) is needed for schools and districts to achieve certain goals with the ISP. For instance, this tool can help determine how much of an increase in ISP is needed for a school or district to achieve the 62.5% ISP threshold where all meals are reimbursed at the free rate, or to achieve the 25% ISP threshold to be eligible for CEP.

With this tool, schools, districts and state agencies can also get a better understanding of where to focus their efforts in increasing direct certification through program enrollment, e.g., via SNAP in Schools work, coordinating with McKinney-Vento personnel, etc.

It can be helpful to use the CEP ISP Projection Tool before the start of the school year to identify where efforts should be made to increase ISPs. Once official ISPs have been determined and shared in mid-May, this tool can be used in combination with the No Kid Hungry CEP Calculator, which offers an in-depth financial analysis of CEP vs. standard counting and claiming, and determines how to group schools and optimize ISPs.
