How Rural Communities Overcame Challenges During COVID-19 Pandemic

During the pandemic, child food insecurity rates rose nationwide – with more than 13 million children reportedly not having enough to eat. In a joint report with Feeding America, we found that poverty rates are higher in rural communities, and 84% of U.S. counties with the highest percentage of food insecure children are rural.

In this webinar, we heard directly from 2 leaders working on the ground to feed kids in rural communities. They shared their successes, challenges, and strategies to ensure no kid in their community goes hungry. Save the Children and No Kid Hungry also shared themes from focus groups they conducted engaging fourteen additional rural community leaders across the country. Webinar participants will have the opportunity to ask panelists questions.
