Slide Deck: Beyond Barriers- Creative Solutions for Summer Meals in Rural Communities

Rural communities across the country are proving that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to feeding kids in the summer. In this interactive session, attendees heard directly from three trailblazing program leaders who have pioneered creative rural non-congregate models — from home delivery to mobile meals to grab-and-go distribution. Each speaker shared the practical strategies, partnerships, and “hacks” that made their model a success, as well as how they overcame challenges along the way. Participants took part in a facilitated activity designed to spark idea sharing and problem solving across states and organizations. Attendees left with new tools, peer-tested approaches, and inspiration to strengthen and expand your own summer meal programs.
